Taken on my iPhone as I walked down the garden after putting our chickens away the other night. I thought how dramatic the newly emerged Amaryllis leaves looked silhouetted through our orange kitchen window blind HSS!

Start of an Autumn glow.

Peace and tranquillity found in the late afternoon sunshine by the river. A quiet time just sitting and watching as the sun came streaming through the leaves and the rich golden tones reflected across the water.

Realising that Summer will be but a memory soon and Autumn is knocking on the door in Middle England...but oh what a show of colour to look forward too :)

Hubby was fly fishing so I took the time to just meander along and explore the river. As they say...it's the simple things in life that bring joy! :)

Autumn is just around the corner

I am back for a month and then I head off for two weeks late April

I have yet to work out my itinerary as I only got back yesterday

I would like to return to Ebor Falls one morning but I don`t know if I can squeeze it all in

This monumental building was finished in 1947 by architect Alejandro Bustillo. I was taken away by its neo-gothic style, great walls, gigantic dome and amazing stained-glass windows. The stained-glass windows depict different images from the Stations of the Cross to historical figures from the area: Brother Francisco Menéndez, the Jesuit Father Nicolás Mascardi, Ceferino Namuncurá, Father Milanesio - Bariloche's first priest - and even one of the church's builder, architect Bustillo - represented as Saint Raphael - and Miguel Ángel Cesario - represented as Saint Michael Archangel.

Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is reputed to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe.

Unfortuantely, because of the weather on the day, it was not accessible, and so we had to settle with this position: The nearest we could get...

Dawn at the "Sangweiher", a nature reserve in the Volcanic Eifel.

I could only go as far as this point because a herd of cattle grazes there and they have trodden the beaten track down to the water.

Traditional house in Reine. Reine is a fishing village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Moskenes in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres southwest of the town of Tromsø.

Soon to be surpassed by the Abu Dhabi branch of the museum, also designed by Frank Gehry ( check it out on Google - it's amazing ) but for me this building will always remain one of the most impressive and important architectural achievements of the 20th century. I just love it. It is the reason why I came to Bilbao and I still can't get enough of it ! 😊
